West Loop's market season doesn't wind down slowly. It ends in one eight-day stretch. Randolph Street's Holiday Market fills 1340 W. Washington on November 14 and 15. The Chicago Artisan Market sets up at Morgan MFG on the 15th. Green City Market then holds its last West Loop Saturday at 900 W. Monroe on November 21, the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
After the 21st, Green City Market's calendar lists no more West Loop dates, and its winter market has run in Avondale. So for anyone who buys their produce, gifts and holiday table a few blocks from home, those eight days are the whole remaining season.
Eight Days, Three Markets
| Date | Market | Address | Hours | Admission |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sat., Nov. 14 | Randolph Street Holiday Market, Early Buy | 1340 W. Washington Blvd. | 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. | $40 at the gate |
| Sat., Nov. 14 | Randolph Street Holiday Market | 1340 W. Washington Blvd. | 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. | $19 online, $20 at the gate, good both days |
| Sun., Nov. 15 | Randolph Street Holiday Market | 1340 W. Washington Blvd. | 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Same weekend ticket |
| Sun., Nov. 15 | Chicago Artisan Market | Morgan MFG, 401 N. Morgan St. | 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. | $8 |
| Sat., Nov. 21 | Green City Market, West Loop | 900 W. Monroe St. | 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Outdoor market, see Green City's calendar |
Both ticketed markets let children under 12 in free. The Sunday overlap matters most. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 15, both holiday markets are open at once, at two West Loop addresses.
Saturday the 14th Opens an Hour Early, for a Cause
The Randolph Street Holiday Market begins with an Early Buy hour on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. A percentage of those $40 tickets goes to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boys and Girls Club. General admission starts at 10 a.m.
The organizer describes the event as indoors only, with 125 mini-boutiques of vintage, modern and handcrafted goods. There will also be cocktails, food, a DJ, informal modeling and a Little Elves Workshop for kids. The organizer also lists gift wrapping and personal shopping help.
The weekend ticket is the detail that ties the two days together. The $19 general admission covers both Saturday and Sunday. The organizer asks guests who plan to come back to request a same-weekend re-entry ticket at check-in. That makes Saturday a scouting trip and Sunday a second pass, which fits the Sunday stacking below.
Driving in from elsewhere in the city is easy for once. Surface-lot parking at the 1340 W. Washington entrance is free. Overflow parking costs $7 an hour in the garage entered from Randolph Street, just west of Ada Street.
Sunday the 15th Puts Two Markets on the Same Afternoon
On Sunday, the Chicago Artisan Market opens at Morgan MFG, 401 N. Morgan St., from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The organizer bills it as a market for food, fashion, home goods and art. General admission is $8 as a will-call ticket. Bring a driver's license or state ID to check in. Branded tote bags cost $2 online or $3 at the door.
Artisan Market tickets are final, non-refundable and non-transferable. Randolph's weekend pass carries over from Saturday. Together, that suggests a simple Sunday order:
- Use the Randolph weekend pass for a return trip when doors open at 10 a.m.
- Head to Morgan MFG after the Artisan Market opens at 11 a.m.
- Leave room before 5 p.m., when both markets close on Sunday.
November 21 Is a Regular Saturday, and the Last One
Green City Market's West Loop season opened May 2 and ends November 21. Hours are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 900 W. Monroe St., just north of Mary Bartelme Park. Green City's calendar lists the 21st as an ordinary farmers' market, with no special events on the schedule. The Lincoln Park market closes its season the same morning, opening at 7 a.m. at 1817 N. Clark St.
The timing matters because of the holiday. Thanksgiving falls five days later, so the final West Loop Saturday doubles as the neighborhood's last farm stop before the big meal. In early November 2025, Green City posted its annual Thanksgiving turkey order guide. That guide covered preorders from Willowbrook Farms, Finn's Ranch, Jake's Country Meats and Mint Creek Farm, and it listed West Loop pickup for Finn's Ranch. That was last year's lineup. Details for 2026 appear in Green City's own announcements.
The market's vendor page notes that attendance changes from week to week, so the calendar is the place to check who is selling on a given Saturday. As a guide to the kind of stands the West Loop site draws, its July 5, 2025 roster included Bennison's Bakery, Dorothy's Bakery, Nichols Farm & Orchard, Jacobson Family Farms, Ellis Family Farms and River Valley Ranch.
After the 21st, Green City's Market Day Moves North
Last winter, Green City's indoor market ran on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 3057 N. Rockwell St. in Avondale. The calendar shows dates from December 13, 2025 through March 21, 2026. No West Loop winter date appears on the nonprofit's calendar.
Block Club Chicago reported in January 2026 that Green City Market closed in December on a former garden center at 2457 W. Montrose Ave. in North Center, paying $899,000 for a year-round home. CEO Letisha Steele told Block Club, "It will definitely house our winter farmers market, with the probability that it would be more than one day a week." The same story said the Lincoln Park and West Loop markets would operate as usual. No opening date for the Montrose building has been announced.
So the Saturday routine at 900 W. Monroe doesn't end because demand runs out. It ends because Green City's cold-weather operation is built around a north side address. That makes the eight days in mid-November the neighborhood's last on-foot market run until the outdoor season comes back.
The Restaurants That Opened in Time for It
The new rooms opened just ahead of this stretch. Several are a short walk from the markets.
| Restaurant | Address | Opened | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Victory & Vice | 318 N. Carpenter St. | Sept. 9 | 30 screens, a 17-by-10-foot viewing wall, a 1,000-square-foot patio |
| Black Briar | 201 N. Morgan St. | Sept. 26 | Jimmy Papadopoulos and Tim Anderson, 110 seats, open daily 4 to 10 p.m. |
| Berenjak | 113–125 N. Green St., inside Soho House Chicago | Oct. 2 | Charcoal-grilled kebabs, open to nonmembers |
| Pizzeria Gabbo | 834 W. Fulton Market St., Suite 200 | Oct. 22 | Chicago thin-and-crispy and crisp-finished New York-style pies, lunch daily from 11 a.m. |
Black Briar sits at 201 N. Morgan, the same street as Morgan MFG. According to Eater Chicago, it took over the former Bar Takito space, and its menu includes snail toast, sourdough cavatelli and a smoked-then-grilled pork short rib. Its 4 p.m. opening lines up with the Artisan Market's last hour on Sunday.
Pizzeria Gabbo is the lunch answer for a Saturday market morning, with lunch service from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day. Chicago Food Magazine reports that soft-serve gelato in flavors like Roasted Pistachio and Milk Chocolate is on the menu. A street-facing window for gelato to go is set to open "soon." Lettuce Entertain You's Marc Jacobs told the magazine he wants the 60-seat room to be "a new meeting spot for the neighborhood."
One more arrival is due in November. Eater Chicago lists Gibsons Tavern for November at 925 W. Fulton Market St., a 14,000-square-foot American tavern serving steaks, seafood and desserts. No opening day has been announced. Gibsons Restaurant Group CEO Steve Lombardo told Block Club Chicago the project is "a tribute to the great American tavern."
What Runs Past the Last Market Day
One free stop keeps going after the markets close. Gertie, the arts organization behind Chicago Exhibition Week, opened its Hub at 400 N. Peoria Ave. this fall. Its show "82 Nights Only*" brings in a new artist's work every week. Block Club Chicago reported that it runs through December 13, which founder Abby Pucker said "is actually more than 82 nights, but that's part of the joke." Ceal Floyer's "Saw" is one of the five key works anchoring the show. Gertie aims to keep its Hub exhibitions free to the public.
The installation changes every week, so it gets a fresh show on each market weekend. It is also still running three weeks after Green City packs up at 900 W. Monroe.
The same eight days that close West Loop's market season also open the stretch before the outdoor season returns in spring.
