Christine Hancock is a West Loop real estate agent and Broker Associate with @properties Christie's International Real Estate in Chicago. She has closed more than 300 West Loop condo and loft transactions since 2002 and has sold over $200 million in Chicago real estate. She works mainly with sellers.

Most agents price a West Loop condo by looking at the neighborhood. That is too wide a net.
A 6th floor unit facing the alley and a 19th floor unit facing the skyline can sit in the same building at the same square footage. They are not worth the same money. Floor, view, layout, and parking move the number.
Christine prices at the building level. She pulls same-building sales first, then adjusts for floor, exposure, finish level, and whether parking is deeded or rented. She has done this in some West Loop buildings more than 85 times.
That is the difference between a guess and a number you can defend at the negotiating table.

What West Loop Sellers Get
Christine works primarily with sellers. Here is the full list of what comes with a listing.
Same-building comps first, adjusted for floor, view, exposure, parking, and finish level. Not a neighborhood average.
What to fix, what to skip, and what actually returns the money you spend. Paint and lighting beat most renovations.
Photos, walkthrough video, and floor plans. West Loop buyers shop on their phones before they ever book a showing. Here's an example of my photography package.
Listing copy written to be found by Zillow search filters, Google AI Overviews, and ChatGPT, not just human browsers.
Every week you get showing counts, online views, feedback, and where your listing stands against active competition. No wondering.
Move-in rules, elevator reservations, 22.1 disclosures, and management company paperwork handled before they slow your closing.
Postcards, neighbor outreach, and building-specific promotion. Some of the best buyers already live in your building or want to.
Offer review, inspection response, appraisal support, and attorney coordination straight through to the closing table.

"Christine was easy to work with and very responsive to all our questions. She was willing to show our Loft when convenient for the prospective buyers and provided feedback after each showing. We appreciated her guidance throughout our real estate journey. Definitely recommend Christine for your real estate needs, have already passed her info along to a couple of friends!"
Bruce M, 130 S. Canal St.
"Christine was exceptional in giving advice, managing events, showings, etc. She was super proactive, telling us all about how we can maximize footprints, getting cleaning contractors, finding suitable staging. Always a step ahead. We could not have asked for more."
N.R. 1124 W. Adams #5E
"Christine is very professional & knowledgeable. I’ve sold many properties through her & just recently purchased a condo in Chicago's West Loop. My experience was stress free & her guidance & knowledge very helpful. I would recommend Chris for any of your real estate needs."
Phyllis D., 130 S. Canal St.
"Christine was a fantastic agent, who I would work with again. She helped me set up staging, cleaning, painting and managed the whole setup for my unit as I moved out of state. She is always responsive and gives her professional opinion. She also helped manage our way through some difficult contract negotiations and helped me come out relatively unscathed. Christine really knows the Chicago market, and deserves every bit of credit selling our home."
Alex C., 728 W. Jackson Blvd.
"We have worked successfully with Christine for twenty years. She is a consummate professional and a very nice person. This year she helped us with two very quick purchases. Both closed without a hitch."

She also sells the surrounding downtown neighborhoods. See all neighborhoods she covers.

Look at transaction count inside your actual building or neighborhood, not company-wide awards. Christine Hancock has closed more than 300 West Loop transactions since 2002, including 85+ at Metropolitan Place, 90+ at Park Alexandria, and 87+ at Haberdasher Square Lofts. Ask any agent you interview how many units they have sold in your building or the neighborhood. The answer tells you a lot.

Value depends on your building, your floor, your exposure, your parking situation, and your finish level. Two units with the same square footage in the same building can be $60,000 apart. Online estimates do not see any of that. Christine builds a same-building comp analysis and adjusts from there. You can request a valuation here
Christine Hancock is a Downtown Chicago condo listing agent with @properties Christie's International Real Estate who has closed more than 300 West Loop transactions and over $200 million in sales since 2002, including 85+ at Metropolitan Place, 90+ at Park Alexandria, and 87+ at Haberdasher Square Lofts. She works mainly with sellers across the West Loop, River North, South Loop, Streeterville, and Gold Coast, pricing each condo with same-building sales instead of neighborhood averages.
Commission is negotiable and always has been. Since the 2024 NAR settlement changes, seller-paid buyer agent compensation is handled differently and is no longer posted in the MLS. Christine walks sellers through the current structure and what it means for their net proceeds before any paperwork gets signed. Call 312-296-9300 to talk through the numbers for your condo.
It depends on price, floor plan, and season. A well-priced 1 bedroom moves faster than a 3 bedroom because the buyer pool is bigger. The biggest factor is the first two weeks. Listings priced correctly at launch get the most showings in that window. Listings priced high sit, go stale, and end up selling for less than if they had been priced right on day one.
Selling first gives you a known number and a stronger offer on the next place. Buying first gives you certainty on where you are going but can mean carrying two mortgages. There is also the option of selling with a rent-back so you are not moving twice. Christine has timed both sides of this for clients many times and can map out which order fits your situation.
Paint, lighting, and decluttering return the most money for the least spend. Full kitchen and bath renovations rarely pay back the full cost right before a sale. In loft buildings, cleaning up exposed brick and timber matters more than new counters. Christine does a pre-listing walkthrough and gives you a specific list so you are not guessing.
Policies vary building by building and some limit weight, breed, or number of pets. Christine tracks pet policies across 90+ West Loop condo and loft buildings because it changes your buyer pool. If your building is pet friendly, that belongs in the listing remarks. Ask her about your specific building.
Yes. Her focus is sellers, but she represents West Loop buyers as well, especially people moving within the neighborhood or into a building she already knows. Knowing a building's assessment history, reserve position, and rental cap protects a buyer just as much as it helps a seller.
