There is a passing fad that will make your home harder to sell.
This is a popular kitchen project that some homeowners are doing. Removing the kitchen cabinet doors.
Sometimes they feel this is an easy fix for doors that look old & dated.
I have shown 2 homes like this in the past 2 weeks.
I received the same feedback from both buyers.
They don't the look of having everything in the cabinets showing. Not everything in a kitchen is worthy of display.
This project is OK if you plan on living there for the rest of your life. If not, don’t do it.
Most buyers want cabinet doors.
Most buyers feel a lot of traditional cabinet space is important. They will view this as having to replace all the cabinets.
Without cabinet doors, it gets placed on the list of projects they have to complete. It also looks like the kitchen lacks storage.
If you are going to remove the cabinet doors, save them. All the doors and the hardware.
Then be sure to replace them before listing your home for sale.
