The Kennedy Expressway goes through the neighborhood, giving easy access to Interstate 90. Four stops on the CTA Blue Line take West Town real estate owners to the Chicago Loop and O’Hare International Airport. Historically, West Town has been home to Polish, Ukrainian, and other Slavic immigrants. The area is the location of the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, the Ukrainian National Museum, and the Ukrainian Cultural Center. There are also a number of historical churches and cathedrals, as well as many excellent Catholic schools.

While the area maintains its diverse community, there has been a boom in the development of West Townhomes recently. Take a look at historic townhouses, modern condominium buildings, and single-family homes. West Town Real Estate Comes Alive During the Many Festivals

West Town values the feeling of a close community and hosts several festivals throughout the summer and autumn. Do Division Street Fest happens in early June. There’s lots of live music, great food, and a crafts market. In addition, there’s the Family Fun Fest and the Do Fashion Fest. Beer aficionados look forward to the Hubbard Street Craft Brewers Fest, held in August. This is a great way to discover the many fine brewers in the Chicago Craft Brewers District. The West Town Art Walk is held in early October and brings together visual artists, performers, musicians, fashion designers, and culinary wizards for two days of celebrating all the arts.

Parks and green spaces abound in West Town. Pulaski Park is one of the biggest and best known. There is a swimming pool, baseball diamond, and two gymnasiums. Kids can attend the after-school program and summer day camp. Movies in the Park is another popular summer series.
